WATER IN THE GARDEN!

I just love to have some kind of water in my garden. Whether it is a birdbath, fountain or little pond it is so earthy and calming.

You can have it at the entrance of your home which is lovely. Lucky people have a natural little pond like this one.

I love this idea, the water feature is built right into the landscape. Oh, how wonderful it would be to have a spot with water where you could sit and dream. And a waterfall, well words escape me.

Anyone can have a water feature. Look at these wonderful, simple ideas. All you need is a water proof container, like these galvanized bins and a pump.

I actually have an old tub out back, I have a pump I am not using too. Hmmmmmmm, wheels are turning.

You can do a little or you can do a lot but water in the garden is so wonderful, everyone should have some.

A SUNDAY STROLL THROUGH THE GARDEN!

It is beautiful here today. I grabbed my camera and Rufus, Daisy and I went for a walk around the property to check things out.

First stop was the Veggie Garden. The weather has been perfect for growing. Some rain and lots of sun. Just look at my Tomato Babies! And the Lettuce, Radishes and Peas look great.

We walked through the woods and the sun was beaming through the trees. It is so lovely in there.

You never know what you will find around the farm. These pretty flowers, their name escapes me, were in my garden at one point. Now I notice them peeping out from under the trees.

The Thyme I potted in the Thyme Table is doing fabulously. I love to sit there with a cup of tea touching the Thyme, the aroma is wonderful.

I adore the vibrant yellow of the Daylily. I planted these 15 years ago and every Spring I divide them. I have shared many and others are planted all over the farm.

Well, it is getting rather hot out now, Rufus and Daisy are in their air conditioned mudroom and I am waiting until later to do some more gardening. Hope you all are having a lovely weekend and pop over to WICKED FAERIE QUEEN for some more garden tour with Daisy and me and to enter my GIVEAWAY.

THE HEIRLOOM GARDEN

Beautiful morning. I took my coffee on the side porch today and took in the Heirloom Garden.

I decided to fill all of my pots this year and plant veggies in them. I have snow peas, snap peas, green beans, radishes, and lots of heirloom lettuce.

This was planted just a week ago and already the carrots are coming up.

So are the Easter Egg Radishes.

And the lettuce.

And the tomatoes! Well, they are getting stonger everyday. I am very pleased that they a filling out and getting thicker but not too tall right away.

We had a lovely rain yesterday and the gardens are just blooming. I hope your gardens are doing well wherever you are and that you have a lovely, sunny day.

A LOVELY MORNING IN THE GARDEN!

I just had to shared some pictures of how lovely everything looked this morning. It is a warm, fresh morning here on the farm and everything is bursting at the seams with green foliage.

The front garden is amazing. It is so full and lush, every morning I just look at it and sigh with happiness. There is something about watching what you plant grow.

The hanging baskets are looking beautiful. Lots of colour.

The herb pots around the back porch are filling in nicely. Although I do have the herb garden I always like to grow some on the porch not just for the aroma but it is easier when I cook to grab some from one of the pots.

The back of the property is so dense and green I forget how open it is in the winter. The smell is heavenly.

We have a pile of broken old cupboards and tables from my grandmother's barn which we use to build with. I had not seen a chipmunk this spring until now.

I guess they have taken up residence in the pile of old wood. Good taste I say.

I have to show you one last picture of the front. The sun was just shining through the fence. Lovley!

My tomatoes are standing up strong and proud. I cannot wait for them to be ready to eat, but that is a long time off. I am already looking at new recipes. Here is one from HEALTHY HAPPY LIFE that sounds delicious.
